Ecstatic Dance

Dance has been an expression of celebration and ceremony in culture for thousands of years. From the earliest cave paintings to modern day clubs, dance has been used to convey emotions and states of being that couldn't be expressed otherwise.

Free-flowing dance allows us to quiet our minds and invite our bodies to speak. The pulse of live music pulls us deep into a trance and allows us to move through tension, freeing new space to experience the fullness of who we are.

Research has linked dance of all types to wide-ranging physical health benefits including improved cognition, increased mobility, improvements in heart health, reduction in falls among older adults and more.

This is a  space for people of all ages, backgrounds, and intentions to gather and connect. Our society has become reliant on the use of substances to invoke altered states. Dancing in this environment brings a person to complete euphoria without the influence of anything other than the surrender alive in the moment.

The evening begins with a guided movement meditation that leads into two hours of free-flow spontaenous dance guided by live music. The night tapers down and comes to a close with a sound meditation.

Please respect your fellow dancers. If you wish to dance with another person, ask politely and honor their reply. There will be no talking or distractions on the dance floor.
