About The Event
Join us for an evening of deep relaxation & rejuvenation, experiencing the healing effects
of sound on the entire body.
In a sound bath, instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, and chimes are played while resting in a comfortable, meditative position. This teaches us to truly listen with our whole bodies, promoting integration and re-calibration of our nervous system.
Sound is incredibly effect in healing physical or emotional pains residing in the body.
There will be a short guided meditation led by Morgan Zelmer to begin the evening.
Following the meditation, the sound bath led by Michael Jay will begin.
*Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and bring any cushions, blankets, or pillows that you wish to use :)
Michael Jay is one of the first US students of Grand GongMaster Don Conreaux. He is a primary member of Don’s Mysterious Tremendom performance group and continues to study and assist him with Gong workshops regularly while Don is in the US. He is a senior student and facilitator of Sage Academy of Sound Energy retreats and trainings, and has assisted at the Open Center Sound and Music Institute program in 2015.
Michael is well versed in the use of tuning forks in the Acutonics and Biosonics systems, and works as a health coach, utilizing these systems as well as the shiatsu techniques of Ohashi, and other healing modalities including EFT and Reiki. Committed to using sound for its immense healing power, Michael is the catalyst for the multifaceted sound based collective SVAHA (Sound Vision Alchemy for Harmonic Attunement) and is the Director of Therapeutic Sound at You Can Thrive--a vibrant community for women in and out of treatment for breast cancer.
My whole life transformed the moment I decided to greet each moment as a blank canvas, pure & ready for creation to occur. Many years experimenting in the realms of yoga, art, & nutrition has led me to weave these therapeutic passions into a way of life empowering myself & many others.
Most of my time is purposefully spent at Roots Cafe not only crafting culinary masterpieces, but offering a variety of community events & workshops exploring various healing modalities.
As a multi-media artist & yoga instructor, I offer private lessons, workshops, & intentionally-created custom art under Art Form Yoga. [ARTFORMYOGA.COM]
I am committed to channeling source through each one of my creations - allowing the Divine Mystery to surface & dance upon the playground of the present moment. It is my passion to hold space for everyone to explore their inner artist & express the guidance held within.
