Self Defense Class

This class is designed to teach situational awareness as well as how to avoid possibly harmful and hostile encounters. Simple but effective techniques are taught to the students that can be easily utilized under a stressful situation such as an assault. We also show how to make use of the environment and everything within it to increase your chances of survival in a dire situation. Aware. Avoid. Action.

Guy Velella started studying martial arts in 1980 and holds ranks in various styles, including Kali, Silat, Trap-boxing, The System/RMA, Karate, and Jiu Jitsu. Starting his first school in 1991 enabled him to pass on his knowledge to help inspire confidence and strength in the many students he has gone on to teach. Instructor Velella's students have included law enforcement and professional athletes as well as civilian students. In addition to running his school, Instructor Velella hosts seminars throughout the year in personal protection and specialized training focusing on effective and personalized self defense for every situation. Velella's Martial Arts center instills discipline and dedication in its students helping them to confront head on the difficult situations life throws at them.
